Re: What about the LM4-mkII? Good question. I haven't played with it enough yet to see if it will handle the hihat in that manner. What I do know is that it will detect open, closed. Half open or other values in between I'm not quite sure. I'm going to check it out tonight to see. I'll g...

Trigger settings By the way. If anyone has any tips on setting up thier v's for use with battery, I would love to hear them. For instance, your trigger settings; sensitivity, threshold etc... What kind of settings do you find to work well for you? Thanks. -J...

Check it out if you want to hear me messing around with the Battery Basic Kit.

!Battery Basi Kit This is using a G4 500...see my sig. And a few instances of Absynth. Excuse the mistakes and repetition. I'm just screwing around with some fills on this track. It's about 2.5 m...

By the way. The basic kit that comes with battery - sounds damn real - with no effects! I recorded a track with them and I cant tell the difference. I doubt anyone could tell I was playing v-drums. It's just a test track, but if I can convert it to mp3 today I'll post it.

Yo, whatever happened with this? Did Battery work out for you? I am currently using Battery as a VST instrument in Cubase and it f'n rocks! It even gets the high-hat controller right. I'm very impressed. With cubase set to a latency of a little under 6 ms, I can shred with no noticable delay....

  • Cubase VST and REWIRE triggering

Wanted to create a new post out of this, since I think it contains some important info for those who want to try this:

Working with TD-6, VST 5.1 and triggering Proppelerhead Reasons drum module through REWIRE. Working almost flawlessly. Took me about 6 months of experimentation to finally...

  • Thanks MPCman. So basically you only had problems with the hi hat controller on the ddrum working with the MPC2000. The rest of the pads owrked fine I assume. I wonder if the Roland brains have the same problem. Binary?

  • Sup Binary!? Hey, I'm thinking about buying an MPC2000. Have you been using that with drum sounds yet? Curious how it handles the midi information sent from the hi hat controller. Does that get wierd at all? Can you set it up to actually work like the TD-10? Actually I will be using it with a...

  • Hey Stu. Good to hear from you. Yes actually Pro Tools rocks, I have to admit. BUT..hehe. I came back to this post to retract my statements about the DIGI 001. I admit it is great for what it was designed to do. Unfortunately it's just not appropriate for the type of music I'm making. I spoke...

I use Propellerhead's Reason software to trigger sounds from the built in drum module. Works great. It also has a built in sampler you can trigger sounds from, but I havent used that much yet. With the drum module I can load wave files of anything I want and trigger them. Lotsa fun.
