  • I wonder if you've got your mesh heads craked down enough? I have my heads pretty tight on my snare and upper toms. The lower my toms get they get looser. It feels real and is a great feel. Don't get me wrong, I keep a few rubber pads around the set. I love the dual pads for different sounds and st...

replied to any experience with Ahead sticks ?
I know it's been a while since you posted this but I thought I'd reply. I tried Ahead sticks and my elbows started aching. Not sure what was going on but I went back to wood and the ach went away. May be my bad style or something.

  • Slaving a TD-7 to a TD-10

I know this is an old post but I thought I should reply to it since I figured it out. I'm sure the original post has found the answer. I'm just doing this for anybody that reads this later.

On your TD-7 push the EDIT button. Select PATCH and push...

  • Mat Trigger

That's funny that you guys would be talking about a flat trigger of some sort. I had just been working that idea over in my head over the past few weeks. I don't need an extra trigger down on the ground all the time but I've been thinking it would be nice every-once-in-a-while....

  • Home Depot Rug

I second the $20 home depot rug. It also doubles as a great way to slide your rig on and off stage if you're in a hurry. It might burn a hole here and there but it's $20. It's going to get nasty anyway.

    TD-7 Help Needed

I just bought a couple TD-7 units off Ebay. One seems to work fine. The other one powers up and the screen goes through the little graphic thing. After that there's nothing on the screen. I can hit the buttons and lights come on and off. It seems to power up fine, just nothing beyond the start-up graphic....

    Rush must haves

I can't believe no one mentioned "Exit...stage left" or "A Show of Hands". Also "Rush in Rio" DVD is awsome. All three titles mentioned are live shows but that's where you find the drum solos.

  • Adding a fifth tom to a TD-10

OK, I bought a fifth tom to add to my TD-10. I forgot that the instructions said that you can only V-edit on inputs 1-6 (bass, snare and 4 toms). Needless to say, I was about ready to beat my head against the wall trying to figure out which input I was going to sacrifice for the sake of my fifth tom....

  • Same here

Same here on the SPD-20. I bought it before I went totally electronic to add to my accoustic set. I fell in love with electronics and replaced the accoustic with the Vs. I MIDI the SPD-20 to the TD-10 and basically slave it for percussion sounds. I also use all 4 inputs on the...

  • Blown tweets

I'll second that blown tweaters thing. I've gone through 3 in my cabinents. They'll blow just like that. If you are ever inthe mood to just blow some for the heck of it, go in to one of the 808 sounds on the TD-10. The HH sounds from the 808 machines will blow them right...

  • Sinsitivity

You may also try to decrease your sensitivity a little. My KD-120s have shown me how sloppy my feet are. It has been a good teacher to just leave them set real sinsitive and try to clean up my playing. I'm bad for keeping the beater against the head too. Good luck and God...

I know what you mean. I just cut mine and added like 6 feet to my cord. Don't you think it's a shame that they don't build the transformer in like the TD-10. I mean really, how hard could it be?

  • I'm at the same cross road. I've been thinking about ditching the SPD-20 for the little gadget. I don't think you can V_edit through MIDI at all. I may be wrong but I think MIDI is the issue. I've been a little frustrated by that and the fact that you can't control patterns either. Can you let us know...
