50 watts directly into an object is A LOT I'd say make sure it's mounted securely.. you want them attached to a hard surface, and very tight.. and check the amps that came with them, some of the settings are strange. I had 2 hooked up to my throne, and they would give me a headache from the bass kicks,...

Temperature and Humidity affects every thing If you tune your drums up at one temperature and humidity, and then the temperature changes they will change pitch and go out of tune (out of tune depending on the quality of the drums). If you like to tune tight, watch out if you every play outside in...

Roland patents
Anyone know when roland's patents on the "blue cone" and positional sensing run out? I imagine not to far away since the mesh heads have been around for a while.
I want the PD120, but I'd feel bad for buying roland when they have lower-quality construction for 3X the price.

pintech-> roland trigger conversion
Has anyone tried using a roland blue cone trigger inside silentech pads, especially the ax13s? Any luck with PS?...

pintech ck-v trigger hacking
The noise and triggering problems from this pad have made me try to redesign it. This may help some of you, but I'm also curious about other people's CKV's.
First of all for a double pedal both beaters may not produce the same volume, that's because the disc inside that has the piezo on...

The ringing is the first thing I noticed when I got them.. It makes the pads about 10x louder than they would be with a thicker solid plate. This gets annoying as the tone it produces can be heard over the headphones, and I have it as loud as possible with starting to cause pain and hearing damage....

tried 8 A and 8RA, using the V-snare custom sample. I couldn't make any distinction. I've tried adjust the scan time from 0 up to 4.0.. nothing.. Now I know what a snare drum sounds like when you hit it near the edge, pretty dramatic difference. I should think I'd hear _something_.
I looked...

Yeah but vdrums aren't a fine piece of craftsmanship and labor. They are plastic and metal pieces assembled by $0.10/day Taiwanese children..
What would make me think that these drums are worth their price tag? How about made-to-order custom shells and custom finishes.. say for example...

How do you activate PS for the yamaha pads? I have mine set to PD-9 with scantime of 2.5 (any less and the RIM sound is unreliable) I have yet to notice the 3rd zone or PS. Maybe I'm not listening hard enough. (TD-8)

Herc: If you click on the UBB Code link below the submit and clear buttons when posting, it will show you how to add links to images, but first you need to put the image on a web site somewhere else and then do something like this .
If you have some way to test which lead is which, i.e....

Case idea
I've been looking for a cheap but good case and I think I found the solution, Why not just get a regular drum case (hard or soft case), but one big enough to stack all your pads in? All you need are some circular pieces of foam to insert between pads.
My only problem is I don't know which...

Which input are you using? What pads/pad type/pad settings are you using? You are sure your Y adapters is wired in with correct polarity? I've tried almost every combination of pad settings and I've had 0 luck. Only thing I can think of is maybe reverse polarity on the FSR input might work....

What do you mean really slow? in comparison to the unnatural dead-stop of the old cymbal pads/module anything would be....
