Forgot to mention, I synched video and audio like this:
1. Convert Vob dvd file from DVD recorder to MPEG1 format.
2. Use Pinnacle software to synch with Audio recorded in Cubase SX.
My method to synch it easier is to hit first stroke on snare.. just one single *Tap*. That...

Used a Sony DVD video camera DCR-DVD605, but video out only to another DVD recorder. Audio connected to a Maya soundcard to my PC recorded by Cubase SX3. No effects added on the Cubase.

Hi Mickeyman,
thanks for your comments, it is helpful. But what did you mean by not following Paul's performance? Because i was spending time with pulling back the pedals and didnt play along with paul?

Hi, thanks Alan for your kind reply.
I've only briefly tried TDM8. I think I did try to install this much earliear but it didnt support XP then.(I think)
From my brief trial with TDM8, I didnt see anywhere where we could backup User Patterns. Is this possible?

Bulk dump to PC
Hi,
This question is probably already answered in other threads, but with 2 small children, it's hard to find time to do a thorough search..
Is it possible to do a bulk dump to the PC? My son keeps messing up my drum personal patterns I've programmed on my TD8.
The manual only...

Hi,
I've just verified on my TD8 turning on a pre-set song connecting to my PC and using a USB EDIROL Midi interface and CUBASE MIDI software.
Pre-set songs do send MIDI signals and i was able also to record the pre-set song on the CUBASE.
Not familiar with all the fancy Software...

I've had my set(originally TD7 but now replaced module to TD8) since 1995.
After all the KD7 solder breaks(till that stupid piezzo ran out of "solderable" space!) i decided to go to the local electronics shop to buy a normal buzzer that comes in a plastic disc form. (Not sure if it's...

From my experience(yes i agree with the soldering as suggested above)
it's usually the soldering at piezo itself. Just need to take the pad apart till you can see the piezo and check the soldering for disconnects or cracks. This is assuming you've already tried to connect the cable to another...

I would really like to hear it from someone who's really tried it out, or better yet, own one. Anyone? I am more curious on the dualist because i've already tried out the "Giant step" type of heel press-2nd bass connection.

Regarding dualist.. i wonder how loud will the left beater be? From what i understand from the videos, the left beater seems to be hitting the bass drum with the upstroke meaning = the spring is doing the "hitting" ..
i wonder if there is a limit of volume to this.. ?
for sonor,...

Double bass pedal but using one foot??
Hi, I just visited the music store this afternoon in town.(KL) And I saw this new "double-bass" pedal design. But instead of using left foot for the extra beater, the extra beater is hooked up to a chain which is controlled by a lever attached to the part of the bass drum pedal where we usually...

Hi, since you've managed to open it up and clean out the crud, you will be able to do this.. .
connect a multimeter to the end of the cable, the end which connects to the TD8, and measure it. You should get around 17k ohm(what i got for my own FD7). Since it's a stereo cable, i can't remember...
