Ok so.. I'm thinking about getting a Samplepad Pro, I will mainly use it as an addition to my drumkit and have it trigger percussion stuff like cowbells and whatnot. But I'll also use it for triggering loops or longer samples that I create on my own on my computer using Native Intrument's Maschine software,...

You SHOULD be able to use roland pads with the KT3. Digitaldrummer tried some third party snares with the KT3 when they reviewed it and it worked fine. Although I can't say for sure about the toms and cymbals since I'm not sure if KAT uses some special cables or something for their stuff. You can read...

I don't think there's many usaers here with experience of the KT3. Although I've been looking at a KT3 kit since I don't have to energy to complete my A2E kit. Digitaldrummer is going to include a review of the KT3 in their coming issue, so keep an eye out for that! And if you do decide to try out the...

The practice pad attached to the BD head, does it completely kill the sound of the BD head? I can't imagine it making much noise with that much dampening it.
It could be a nice way to go for us that doesn't like the buzzing from 2 or 3-ply mesh heads. I want to make my kit as quiet as I possibly...

Yeah I've been on the fence about upgrading from a DTX500 to a 502. Since there aren't any retailers for it here in Sweden I'd have to order it from eBay or such and shipping + import can sum up to quite the number. But if they'd announce that a VEX kit was in the works for the 502 I'd order one right...

What things that came with it do you still have? Maybe you could e-mail Roland with a pictures of your ID with the stuff you have left and they can re-send it to you.
I donno actually, that's what I've done with a couple of other softwares and such where I aswell had thrown away the papers cuz...

That bottom-mounted connector for the tru-trac is simple yet genius! I would never have thought of that! x)
Looking really good so far, mate!

Nice that you're starting getting into Yamaha modules! If this goes well for you and you decide to do something nice for the 502 module I'll definetely get one of those!

Sweet! I''ve wanted to do a conversion of a go-kit, but it's a bit expensive and there aint no retailers for it here in Sweden :/
I'm definitely considering doing the same with the cable management on my Ludwig Breakeats conversion kit. Gonna have to drill up the vent hole on the bassdrum a bit...

So the Samplepad Pro's pads only have 2 layers when it comes to velocity aswell? Man, I was thinking about getting one for my setup to trigger percussion sounds, loops and random things like that. I probably won't be using it as the main thing in my setup, but if I ever want to trigger some, say, congas...

Exactly, I'm using Windows 7 and I have Maschine installed, not really a drum VST but with a bit of tinkering it could be used as one. And those I know who could be up to jamming with this also uses Windows 7 or 8....

How much weight would one of those support? Would be a disaster if you'd put one of those in each corner of a drum platform in your flat or such and have it pop.
Although I can't think of any other types of water containers that would have sufficient volume and would be able to support all that...
