Ahh, yes, that's a great link. Those videos are where I first learned of this and am now experimenting with it. It sounds like I should be good to go with making a whole bunch of kits and not really worry too much about the user pattern syncing problem I was originally thinking it would be. Thanks...

Now that is one heck of a response! Thanks, tkydon. I did play around with it a bit last night and did some of the early stuff you talked about, ie. assigning specific instruments from kits to specific midi notes and it does work well when that is done. I can switch between kits and the assigned midi...Last edited by Tommy_D; 04-22-20, 10:47 AM.

Linking kits to percussion sets - TD-30 module
So I am getting back in to e-drumming and am still using my trusty TD-30 module. After seeing how you can layer percussion sets on top of your base kit sounds, I have found a whole new appreciation for the TD-30. It seems to be working well with no latency issues, however, it's a bit clunky when changing...Last edited by Tommy_D; 04-21-20, 08:23 AM.

Hello, I am here. I very rarely come on to the forum. I just happen to be here to look up some things about midi and percussion sets, etc.
What's up?

FS: 2Box Module w/ 32Gig mod, Yamaha Cymbals and HH Controller
THESE ITEMS ARE SOLD
Hey everyone,
Long time, no see. I'm selling my 2Box module, Yamaha Cymbals and HH controller. They are basically in "as-new" condition. I think I have less than a few hours on this gear. It has spend the last 2 1/2 years sitting in its...Last edited by Tommy_D; 05-08-17, 10:40 PM.

I don't know if you can call 2Box an open source/architecture module right from the factory. Its only open source/architecture because someone other than 2Box wrote some programs to convert VST libraries in to 2Box's proprietary file structure to be read by the module. Not only that, but once those...

What I don't understand is why people who buy in to an electronic kits expect others to build kits for them. You have all the power to make completely custom kits at your finger tips, then complain that the factory kits suck or the manufacturer isn't putting out new kits. Seriously, just make your...

I was selling VH-12's on here for $275 a couple months ago and didn't get one response. I ended up selling them on eBay for much more than my asking price here. You may find eBay is a better place to sell them than here if you are looking to get the price you are asking for.

Well, I tested out the TD-11 for ****s and giggles and that had seperate sensitivity adjustments for head and rim. I wasnt able to find a mixer adjustment kn that module, but I was able to find the mixer on the old TD-4. Both of these modules have about 4 buttons on them, so everything is buried in...

Hold on, hold on, HOLD ON!!!! Before we all jump on this module for being the worst ever produced by Roland, lets at least have someone with lots of experience in Roland drum modules get their hands on one of these and see just whats possible. I can buy that Roland linked head and rim sounds and locked...

Well, there's a hell of a lot of processing that the TD-30 is doing all at once with all the V-Edit parameters that are available. Add in effects, sound mastering, playing click or backing tracks and making sure there is no latency in the entire system and its just a hell of a lot to do. I think layering...Last edited by Tommy_D; 05-27-15, 06:34 PM.

Nothing like buying the most expensive module on the market and pairing it up with the cheapest kit on he market. Should make for an interesting kit.

Sure you can make two 12's fit. They will be hanging off the ends of the rack, but that doesn't matter. Two 12's will be too large to fit on the middle bar while still fitting within the two upright posts, but you can mount the 12's off the posts and they will fit. They may not get you all the flexibility...

Well, if this is the case, and certain (or all) sounds are linked with a secondary "rim" sound that is not changeable by the user, then Roland is truly limiting the capabilities of this kit to levels well below any module they have ever produced. Again I hope this is not the case. But if...
