Those steps were mostly for old cpu. Wait until you get it up and running... that thing will fly.
I'm sure you already have a little idea if you played around a bit.
Mostly, I would just turn off internet/wifi to not get bothered by any incoming messages and other under the hood things...

that thing will last 2 min... barely enough time to finish a song... ok if it's a punk band, I guess.
Forget it if you're a prog band!
to the OP,
I've been successful running my Yamaha PA speakers off a 12V lithium battery and a class D amp.

I once had a ground issue with electrical at the house, and it triggered some pads without them being plugged in.

eDrums' customer service is a joke.
Had a problem with a Yamaha module, reached to them and they told me because I didn't buy the unit in this country, they couldn't help me.
That means that if you are a touring artist on the road, and your gear has problems, they can't help you. That's...

Too many loud concerts, and some intense raves a long time ago.
The only thing you can do is save what is left. Plenty of miracle treatment on FB, but I've never tried them, I'm nt about to trust some FB physician! ha ha!
IEMs...

To clarify, using a single cable, the "bell sense" is only needed with Roland (and compatible) cymbals. Yamaha are 3 zones without any "magic" out of the box.
Also, the eDRUMin 10 has TWO pedal inputs. And TWO USB ports, so it can be daisy-chained....
