Yep. It's a TD-15 in a new box, but with a revised interface and some of the TD-30 sounds. There's really no difference. No percussion set (again) so no need for MIDI in to expand triggering.

So, I've been lurking, just reading and waiting to see what happens. I like the look of this a lot. Probably what I need, rather than my TD-30 to a degree (no positional sensing being used any more, and several free inputs) but perhaps with fewer editing features? If it does replace the TD-15, then...

I don't think it does. It's not positional sensing like the snare. I've read about it before and I think the answer was no. It wouldn't be CC data, anyway. PS is derived from the first half wave form off the head sensor, so it's a set signal, nor variable (like a hi-hat controller).

Put it wherever feels right. I used to have mine offset, around 1 o'clock position. Didn't move because I velcroed the entire pedal baseplate to the carpet.

The Triggera Intriggs are great. I have 5. This Helensson one looks a little over engineered, and the design issues listed above could be addressed, but the shorter build height makes it about the only off the shelf number that can fit into shells less tha 5" deep.
