Thanks Grog, I need more outputs for recording. I wont be playing out anywhere with the electric drums. I would like to have the capability to have separate channels for snare, bass drum, cymbals, etc. for recording. I would get the td 12 in a heartbeat if it had the 8 outputs. My td8 vexed actually...

Does the 12 have an expanded version? I would buy the Td12 in a heartbeat, but it only has master out and 2 direct outs. I wish Roland put more outputs on the 12. The other option would be the td20. But that is alot more money

Midi a Roland TD8 for recording to a VS2480
I am new to Midi, I have a Roland TD8 and want to midi it with a vs2480. Are there guides how to do so? Also can I use EZ Drummer sounds or Discrete Drums with midi? Or do I have to use the sounds in the TD8.

I have a cy 15r that I added to my set with a Roland TD-8, I know there is a way to hook it up to work the 3 zones, I can use input 6. Is there a way to switch the sounds assigned to input 6 to input 11 and vise versa without having to dial each sound? The reason is I need input 6 to make the cymbal...

I use a 22" diy bass drum with the white hart head and it feels great,But I like the look of an acoustic kit though . I used a 12" roland in the past and it had way to much bounce.

I had the same problem and I turned down the crosstalk on the cymbal. With mine anything above 35 on the crosstalk setting and it starts mis triggering.
Hope this helps.

Roland cymbals muting
I have 2 roland 15" cymbals for crashes. When I crash on them and do a roll right afterwards, The cymbal mutes by itself. Are there adjustments for this? I am using a roland td 8 module.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Bruce thank you. The only way I could find to turn off the bass drum pattern was in the midi section, under global. But it would also turn off the click pattern as well. I knew there had to be a different way to turn it off.
Thanks again
Vinny
