Hi there,
Maybe spray some Deoxit into the jacks. Takes all the crud off. Might as well hit the plug ends too.
If the cables insert real loose, break into the pad and bend the contacts of the plug so they are making better contact with the cables.
Good luck!

Spd-s Card Problems
Hi there,
I'm having problems getting the SPD-S to import samples.
I am using the correct method and it used to work.
I go thru all the steps and it doesn't give me any error codes but when I go to use the imported samples they are nowhere to be found.
Anyone run into this...

Thanks Bruce!
I think I must have overlooked page 23 cuz it referenced "Play Sounds on a GM/GS Sound Module by Striking Pads"
Maybe this is something else I just overlooked but I don't see the Pad-8 listed in this manual or the SPD-S manual.
(maybe there are others??) I know...

Bummer! I feel your pain.
The fact that when you edit a kit on Roland VDrums the kit is changed and
you don't have to hit "save" er nuthin' has always blown my mind. No way to
compare your edit with the original either. I've ended up copying the kit to another
preset...

Hi Saku,
Thanks for getting back to me.
Now to the matter at hand..........

set is the upper, ie; the CY5, CY8 or...Last edited by Rob Cathcart; 11-24-12, 01:15 PM.

FD7 with TD4 - not Working..............
Hi all,
Sold my TD6V and bought a TD4 for IMHO, better sounds for live.
FD7 worked as it should have with TD6V but will not work with TD4.
Problem: Hi Hat just stays with the full open sound even when
moving the FD-7 through its range of motion to the closed position....

Hi all,
Well I broke down and tried the rewire. I couldn't help my bad self. The "switch" which is a ribbon that runs all around under the rim is itself a trigger and doesn't need the strike on the head to let it work or to signal the velocity of the rim hit. I ran the two leads from...Last edited by Rob Cathcart; 10-19-12, 09:24 PM.

Once again - Dual Trigger Pad Modification - With a twist.
Hi there,
I've scoured this site and the rest of the Internet and didn't find an answer so excuse me if this has been addressed before.
I have some PD-8's that I want to split the output so the rim goes to a single input jack on one
brain and the main pad goes to...

SPD-S Mounting plate
Hi all,
I've got an SPD-S coming.
I have some MPD-7U's but I'd like to get one of the aluminum mounting plates, the one that looks just like an MDP-7U but I can't find them unless they are part of a package or come with a stand or or a mounting clamp like an APC-33. I've already...
