I presume the TD-20 headphone socket takes a 1/4 inch (6.35mm) jack (far right in image below), so if your headphones have a 3.5 mm jack (second from right) you'll need an adaptor (2nd image) - make sure you get a stereo adaptor.

Since the TD-9 was released in 2008 it can't be any more than 3 years old - people are still using modules and pads that are over 10 years old without any major issues. Even with heavy use, mesh head pads are likely to be fine if there is no evidence of tears in the mesh or cracks/splits in the rubber...

Because of the wide range of possibilities i.e. Off the peg kits, DIY, VST etc you are never going to be able to see all of these in action (unless you are going to have a tour of the UK visiting people that have various set ups), so ultimately you need to decide which of these routes will be your main...

Just measured my expanded TD-12 setup and it takes up about 1500 mm wide, the depth would be OK (just) at 1200 mm. I suspect that means if you are going for a rack you are looking at nothing bigger than a TD-9 (can someone measure the set up width of the TD-9 kit?), although there's no reason why you...
