I am strongly debating converting an old DW snare that I have sitting on a shelf. It's the old acoustic that I used to use that I really loved, partially because it was such a snappy sounding thing, but also for the odd shape at 13x5. It's a little bit of a shame to have a (who knows how many) ply...

I am in a 13x13 (ish) fully finished room in the basement where my "Studio"/office is. I have my workstation/DAW facing the corner (a sound no-no by many standards but it actually sounds pretty darn good with the room treatments in place. My kit is setup so that the module end of it is near...

    Got it.

I have both and I've made a drum map for both, though it is customized to my Mimic setup. I can send you the XML for Studio One (v4 in my case, but the map worked in v3) and I think I can send you a similar map from Sonar (Platinum or Cakewalk by Bandlab).

That said, the notes you sent...

Just to be sure I'm not missing something here...

The only thing that isn't going out the "direct out" on my snare (for example) is the FX, Overhead, and Room. The EQ and Comp are going out the individual out to my DAW (or live board if that's the case).

    I'm posting...

Man, when I got my mimic a little less than a year ago... Damaged even.. I unboxed it, hooked it up, and played for hours.

Unbox it. Hook it up. Play for hours.
    Rinse. Repeat....
