I have both Cakewalk by Bandlab and Studio One 4. I have a lot more experience with the Cakewalk line (previously Sonar), but recently switched over to Studio One when Gibson "ended" the Cakewalk brand - later revived by Bandlab and now free, as mentioned above.

    I like both,...

  • Great! Thanks again for the listen and the feedback. It is obviously important to hear it when you have listened to a track so many times on your own....

  • JmanWord - Thanks man.

vdrumschuh - Thank you for the detailed comments. Here are a few answers:

Regarding the Multiband compressor - no, I didn't use that, but next mix I do, I'll definitely revisit that. I didn't use the typical bass amp I'd use either (virtual). I like the...

  • Ok - after much listening, getting feedback, and messing with this mix, I've done a few other things to hopefully improve it. I think I'm done making changes at this point, so I'd love to hear your opinions on this. I only have the most recent version posted. If you happened to have listed before,...

I love to see a breakdown like this. I've never been a real "rudiment guy", only knowing a few of the basics and never really practicing like I know I should have and how much that would have benefitted me. It's good to see that some of the things I play (not over a groove like that) actually...

  • Looking forward to anything that might relate to the Mimic. New sound packs, updated cymbal tips and more drums to choose from - even though it is so awesome as it is.

Interested in what gewa will bring, having not seen or heard a lot more than what seems to be far along prototypes....

Thanks jammin 777. Overall, like I said in my video blog, it was a good experience. I did have some wiring issues with getting the spade connectors in place and there night actually be an issue inside of the 1/4" stem, but it's all working fine at the moment....

7a nylon here. Just like the balance, weight, ease of rebound. I always used nylon on acoustics, I suppose due to the pinging sound on ride and crash bow, so they have always just been a preference....

Acoustic Snare conversion to edrum - UFO Drums

Good evening (or whatever, wherever you are),

Just wanted to make a quick post about the A-to-E conversion I did today (and part of last night). This was a conversion of an acoustic snare to an edrum. I did a more complete write-up on my blog and a video on YouTube to go with it. You...
