i'd love to get it but it's like $500. that's ridiculous....

i completely agree with you about the KD-85, KD-9, and using a mesh head on a regular kick (though mine is a 22"). if i wasn't going for a more acoustic look i'd go with a KD-9 or 10 for the feel, the KD-85 was an improvement over my original KD-8 but has still long been one of the least favourite...

I might be interested in this if you're willing to ship to Canada... Will need to figure out what it will end up costing me in duties to factor that into the price and familiarize myself with what PayPal buyer protections cover.
Any particular reason you're selling? Does it include...

that is also what i thought he meant since the edrumin is something you'd pretty much exclusively use with a VST and since the TD-11/17/whatever all have limited inputs that can't really be expanded otherwise...

Sorry to not be helpful but just commenting to get notifications from this thread as i am basically considering the same module decision as you...

seems to specify hi hat stand included i think. from site
doesn't mention a kick pedal but is shown with a 2box kick pedal so i guess really could go either way....

is this why my local music store basically all but refuses to sell just modules and wants to insist on selling / trading full kits only?
also forgive me if this is covered by your NDA and you can't answer, but would you know at all why it's sold with the DI3 instead of the DI5Mk2???...Last edited by winterson; 12-05-19, 02:42 PM.

looks much better than that weird orange kit they had before, why is it with a drumit 3 instead of 5 mk 2? seems those things are non existent in the market...

there are modules that don't have metronomes or midi out? aren't those pretty much the most basic features ever?...

pretty sure i've seen long and mcquade advertise simmonds stuff before, but not anything worth buying.
you're dead on about everything else. i've never even met anyone else in canada who knows the mimic even exists, let alone seen one for sale anywhere. it's just roland/yamaha here mai...

shit, i literally just sold a 7 piece mapex kit (well 6, i kept the snare, sold 3 rack tom, 2 floor, 1 kick), maybe we could have traded! oh well.
and i know what you mean about the headphones, i find myself gravitating more towards my e-kit these days because you're dead on about both...

i mean i'd be interested in just the module but i'm really just asking just to ask (never know if you don't ask), you can and should be able to get more than i can afford for it. the cheapest i've seen TD-30 modules go for on ebay is ~$1,900.00 CAD, most over $2k.
best i could do is ~$1,100.00-1,200.00...

here's where i'm at with my partial conversion. i ditched the rack and mounted on stands, 14" and 22" snare/kick with mesh and triggers, PD-85 rack toms, and the snare off my TD-6KV as floor tom for now. want to move it to rack instead of having the 2 PD-85s and add something else for the...
