There are two different online modules in cubase. The one we use is not realtime. My friend can make a project available to me by uploading it. It changes the audio files to flac which is lossless compression. I can then download it an add my parts and update. He can then update and get my parts. All...

  • Just use another Roland one and tweak it. You usually have to anyway if you have added any extra Timís or cymbals. Itís really easy to do. The presets just get you started and itís not really a big deal. As I said before the preset is really just note numbers and not trigger settings. These have to...

Itís where you play a drum at speed and you get the same sample played. It sounds really unnatural as a real drum does not do this. Machine gun is basically how it sounds.

replied to TD-25 Window 10 Device Driver Question
So yes as soon as you turn the td25 on the driver will become active and will be available in Reaper. Just make sure you turn it on before opening reaper. Hard to say which will be the best to use as an audio interface. ASIO4ALL can actually give lower latency than some manufacturers own drivers. You...

  • I donít know what the ASIO4ALL problem is as I just put it on my sons pc and it works well. I certainly wouldnít give up. It would be cheaper to buy an audio interface than move to Mac especially since people with them still suffer problems with the internal audio. There are loads of cheap audio interfaces...

Where are you situated as you mention Gear4music which is British with a couple of places in Europe yet you quote in dollars? Surely you would be better buying locally?

replied to TD 12 display problem
Probably most td20\td12 are at an age where this will need doing. It also depends on if the previous owners have already done it. I actually cleaned all the connectors on my sons before putting it back together. The td20 was fairly simple to take apart but if you have huge hands and fingers like big...

Hard to call really. I did the clean on my sons td20 and it worked brilliantly but if it doesnít work for you then you have wasted your money as you could damage it taking it apart

The feature in Cubase means you donít have to send files between you. You can just sync the project and it will pull the files itself. Simple! So donít use windows audio unless you have to. You can try the internal audio interface by using ASIO4ALL which can work well to get low latency but I suggest...

Reaper is a really good program and works well. If I hadnít have been using Cubase for 30 years then I would probably go this route. If you donít mind spending and you want to collaborate over distance then Cubase has some great features where you can share projects online from within Cubase. I have...

replied to TD-50 + SD3: Sound Quality Problem
Any usb cable should work in theory. I use a long one on my td30 I just found hanging around in the house so itís probably a cheap one I picked up sometime in the past. I use it for midi and triggering SD3 no problem. The problem with cheap cables is they can go faulty or be susceptible to interference...

    replied to Latency TD11 SSD5
Stick with it. I tried my td30 usb interface with the buffers at there lowest and didnít suffer pops or clicks at all. My pc is around 10 year old now. I only manage to squeeze a little bit more from my dedicated audio interface so probably not worth it if your happy with the latency you get....

  • If your not going to gig the td11 and are looking at recording then why not go for a vsti such as SD3 or SSD5 or any of the others out there....

Still fixing for people. Eventually got round to doing this on my sons td20 and as good as new. I did use a alcohol wipe to make sure and used it on all the other connectors as well. This thread just keeps on giving. Really appreciated. Thanks

So why would these modules overheat? On there stands they have air all around and even stage lights shouldnít be too much. Were you somewhere incredibly hot?...

  • I used to use a handsonic for small gigs with a couple of pedals. I didnít find it compatible playing with real drums as on one you use sticks and the other your hands. The small pads are way too small to hit with a stick. I used to use octads when playing live with an acoustic kit....
