I see your problem. 2nd hand probably out then. I love PS but to be honest you may not use it so back to square one. I donít think there would be a difference between a vh10 and vh11 in SD3...

Welcome. Nothing wrong with self taught. I played drums for a living with not a single lesson in the 80s. I even ousted a drum teacher from a band who was technically great but he overplayed all the time. I just learnt the covers as they were and played in time. The band preferred that. Had a lot of...

I think I agree with the a previous comment on drummers and styles. I agree that Neil Pearl is over rated. I love some of the Rush albums and my son loves them all but the style means you can almost guess what fills he will do even if you havenít heard the song. I think the peak of musicality was Moving...

What you donít get with the td17 is positional sensing which the td25 has. I would have gone 2nd hand if the aim was to just trigger SD3. I got a full td30 kit in the uk for £1700 a couple of years ago. My td20 before that cost £1500. Heíll of a lot more kit for your money 2nd hand.

Yes I suggest you stop practicing as much and putting me to shame . I once had a period in the 80s where I managed 4 hours myself for about a year. Sorry I canít help with problem as I donít use covers. I do tend to throw sticks as I too have dry hands so interested in the answers....

The dt1770s work fine out of the td30 module with plenty of headroom. They also work great out from my zoom l-20 as well. Canít say what they would be like with the td17....

Lol yes not cheap. I got mine 2nd hand. The sound really is astounding. Even my son who doesnít seem to care noticed how good they are. They really show up the difference between SD3 and Ssd5. You can feel the room and space around the drums on SD3. Playing them is uncanny with these headphones on....

Welcome. I replied to one of your questions. With the praise music just remember not to overplay. Always listen to what the worship leader is doing and follow the mood and the spirit. Where I play itís acoustic drums so I have to be careful with how hard I hit. Playing in a worship band is actually...

  • I donít use a Mac but I would be looking at getting an audio interface which has audio and midi. If you want to connect to a pa mixing desk then you want to aim at an audio interface with multiple outs. I would want to keep the computer setup simple so I would choose SD3 which can run standalone and...

I have the beyerdynamic dt770 and dt1770s . The 770s are great and can take a lot of stick. The 1770s are really the best headphones for edruming I have ever heard and I have quite a few other sets including sennheiser momentum and akg701q. Also owned and loaned grado headphones and my son had decent...

  • I wouldnít recommend these. The triggering is poor compared to a Roland module. I had an I/o but ended up using it for cymbals only. It was terrible on toms and snare. Cymbals not much better but ok for a crash. I also kept ride and hi hat in main module. Eventually got rid when I got a td20 and now...

Go for it. Make sure you practice to a metronome and record yourself regularly to see where you are. Itís easy to think your great when playing and then listen to a recording and realise you may not be as good as you think. Keep at it

    replied to Hello people !
Welcome aboard. Take a look 2nd hand when you want to get extra bits. I havenít bought anything new. The Roland stuff tends to be quite reliable. Things to watch out for are cymbals not triggering on all zones and worn cones on pads again causing bad triggering. Iím a lefty but I spun the whole rack...

Ah right. So the backlight is working but the lcd part isnít. You have tried everything I can think of so it could be the screen or the controller. Next step would be to either try and source a cheap screen and see if it works or get an expert to look at it. I say cheap screen as you donít want to waste...

Getting water in would have shorted the battery. It may not be the screen that is damaged. It may be another part that still had water in shorting out when you booted it back up. Does it actually work except for the screen?
