    Only the cones. The Piezo's don't deteriorate over time. Cymbals, PD8&9 don't have cones so therefore you don't have an issue with them.

    Interesting problem you have there....

    How is the isolation between the shell and the piezo. It almost looks like you pick up the shell vibration.

    Can you show us a picture of the trigger construction, with the head removed?

    It's nothing special. Just some aluminium parts. double sided foam tape under the outside ring of the piezo (If you cover the entire piezo with foam tape the sensitivity goes down). and a cone on top.
