    I know this is a comparison of the Mimic to the TD50, but I would add that the ATV aD5 IMO is more like sitting in front of a real acoustic kit. The Mimic is like sitting in a high-end studio, mic'd and feeding that back to you. (I have the Mimic and the aD5.)...

    Like he said, it's opposite to where the Roland logo is! So you're striking opposite the logo, which is where the "sweet spot" is....

    What he means is: The piezo is located under the Roland logo. The cymbals are designed so that you should be striking at that point for the greatest sensitivity and performance. If you were to rotate them you would lose some of that.

  • I agree with Alan in general - that a tilt mechanism is not ideal for electronic hats as a rule. That said - I have that stand and it works superbly with my ATV hats.
