    I have used a hard case from a power tool... its was black and i just stuck some foam cut to shape and stuck in with a craft glue total cost about $30 Aus....think thats about 25c American lol

  • I asked a friend who plays on cruise ships( from the Philipines) He seems to be saying if you own the gear for more than 6 months and can prove purchase. then it is a personal(or business) item so you only pay a nominal import duty.. ? He is always bring drums kits from the ship home..

  • Just my 2 cents but. I use edrums for 3 reasons A i want to record a great drum sound at home..... that aint happening with and acoustic kit. B i play too loud so for some venues i need an ekit to clam the volume.. C sometimes in a multi band set up and a strange venue we just simply have B grade techs...

    td 50 are awesome to play i hav'nt purchased one myself only because A i have a td 30 B i have my heart set on a mimic purely for the sounds. but enjoy the 50 its a great machine have played them a number of times and have been very tempted.

  • As a teacher i found a great option was to use Tubegrabber to get some drumless backing tracks from youtube.. ( with click) load to usb and bang em on the 30 i have a few usb's which i have tagged into BPM's with different styles at each BMP.. the kids love em and some a good for me as well..

    Yes I will sell the 30 complete with Alans Nice vex kits as soon as i get a mimic NOt sure on what pads ect i will sell yet most likely kick drum or maybe everything inc gen 16's and all the extra pads depends on how silly i go with the new gear...which of course will bring me to what shell i will...

  • I played a lot of gigs with my td 20 ( vexed) i ran a mackie powered 15 and was a good solid mix.. having said that i would also run in ear monitors from the 20 with a line in mixed from the desk with everything but drums. that way i could sort of blend the band with the drums myself... most of the...
