  • two felt strips behind the bassdrum head could work.. would feel more solid, less bounce..
but there shouldn't be a strip between beater and trigger, so, if trigger is on top, felt strips should run vertical..
(to not dampen head vibration too much..) .. wouldn't be too costly solution...

it depends.. if you like a 'clear head' toms sound or a 'coated head' toms sound.. one of the best sounding 'clear' head toms set would be the Gretsch toms in 'evil drums' sdx.. • it's going to be a steep learning curve anyway.. lol.. getting vst's playing 'optimal' on a computer..
there's a 'sticky' in the vst/samples forum.. -which is not really up to date with 2018 tech - but a start .....

i can't say (as i've been 'critical' myself) but i think it would help .. saw a post of BarT the other day.. 12000 posts (and most with advice)
wonder what guys like that think.. (including you and other older members) but i understand it happens more on forums ..and with products..

that would not be good news.. ..no other product has a developer staying in direct 'contact' with customers/ users..
but maybe the 'mimicpro' forum is a better place to be (more neutral) considering there is some 'flack' on mimic here ..
though this is mainly from people who are spoiled...
