My shipping cost was $39.11 for 4 heads.
I've ordered a few other things from overseas and the shipping was almost as high, but it was at least 2-3 weeks for delivery, not 2 days....

Yes, they are expensive to begin with and the shipping cost is shockingly high, but mine arrived from Germany to FL, 2 days after I ordered them, (did I need them to arrive so quickly? No, but I'm glad they did). I guess charging that much for shipping puts it in a mailing class that gets 'Green lighted'...

    Drum-tec mesh heads

Man, I know I'm a bit behind on these, but those 'Real Feel' mesh heads are the best add-on that I've ever bought for any of my edrum setups.
They're a pretty radical change from the Roland OEM mesh heads.
I love em, they make me want to play more.

  • Yes, that definitely is Toontrack's sales pattern.
If I was them, I'd hold off on offering a sale on Orchestral, too.
I'm sure that was expensive to produce.
    Perhaps next Holiday season....

  • I'm running SD3, SDXs' and some Expansions from a USB3 External SS Drive and for my setup, it takes about 8-10 seconds for a 10-piece set to load, but that's about the same load time as a platter Drive that I've had previously.

A sale on Orchestral would be a good thing. Toontrack's been...

Thanks for the set list and video link!
With that many instruments to mic, I would think that regular cymbals would get lost in all of it.
It's great that the solution was to use e-cymbals. Yo Zak!

  • In 1990, I saw an ad for a SDS 7 set. When I checked it out, I realized that the owner bought pretty much two sets of pads. It was a 12 piece set.
He had gigged with it, so he built this crazy, heavy duty wooden case for the 'brain', had soft cases made for all the pads and a foam-padded steamer...

    That's very interesting, jimorlando,
I've been a big Who fan since 'The Who Sell Out', and I think 'The Who Live at Leeds' is the best live album ever.
Pete Townshend, (like me), pretty much gave up his hearing for a life of music.
Zak is a great drummer and a perfect replacement for...

  • Looking forward to your review.
At $279, it's a bit too expensive for me at this time, but the audio demos really are impressive.
Toontrack has done it's usual excellent recording job.
    I really want this.
