Not sure if you’re running VST live or not, but the 50 and Mimic are going to be the best “backup” where heavier needs lie. They’ll provide the best crushed compression when needed in a backup module. This, with the additional I/O now narrow your choice to two. The DP pack will...

Reset that pad. See if it helps. If not, it’s likely the cone. This is why Roland states very plainly in their manuals to tighten heads on new pads, and monitor regularly. It lessens the chance for extreme wear. I check my pads every few months, and tighten for stretch wear so that it does not...

Well, between those three, the 50 is going to have the absolute best midi performance. However, you could just pick up a used 30, if you're only going to VST it. A 30 would be fine as a "backup"... for half the price of two of those, and offer more I/O than the AD5. If you want the "best"...

Yea, just turn down the Master knob. If you're not using it a max, then you have something setup wrong. That knob should be going out at full. It's line level. It sounds like your external source is set wrong. I would suggest killing the volume on your external source, turning the master up all the...

Moved this to Off-Topic, as I would like to keep the Forum Talk more about support for vbulletin.
Anyway, this has been the norm... well, forever. I think a lot of people look for a solution, get an answer, and just forget about the forum. The ones that seem to return are those that didn’t...

Use the H&R button to differentiate which zone is being edited, and edit just that instrument. If the pad is using a sub instrument, you will also have to edit the sub zone as well.

Alan VEX replied to Access to VEX DRUMS/ VERSION 2 UPDATE for the ROLAND TD9SX version 1 mesh drumset ?in ProductsWe're known for completely changing and overhauling the factory sound into what it should have been. As I would be biased, I'll let TD-9 customers offer views. Most of them have moved on these days to newer modules, but hopefully someone will chime in. As always, you can email Chris through our website...

Then, you’ll need to play with the settings to lower the triple forte result. (sensitivity, etc.)

The difference will be minimal. Those settings mainly differ for the diameters. (larger head, larger movements) This is why I keep mentioning tension. Tension helps. (not saying parameter adjustments won’t be needed)

Any third party pad has to be setup from scratch. I’d ask Drum-Tec for the recommended settings. They should be able to give you manual settings to get you started. Still sounds like tightening the head would help some.

I'm not sure why you'd do that. You should be choosing the pad you actually have, and then adjusting those parameters. Pads of two different dimensions would exhibit different settings due to the different diameter of the heads.
Alan's rules of thumb... 1) always tighten new mesh heads...

Generally, no. I haven’t noticed Roland change pad algorithms with subsequent releases. However, simply tightening heads can help too.

You have to contact Roland directly in your country. See more here: https://www.vdrums.com/forum/general...492#post811492...

Record drums Master L/R to stereo track in DAW.
Record room mic to mono track in DAW. (it helps to talk before/during/after... the more noise, the better)
The two above should be started/stopped in unison for best results. (don't start tracks at different times... not sure who would, though)...

Sorry, I had a bumpy few months. I don't even remember what I was supposed to follow up. lol It was probably kit demos, but I got so sick of dealing with copyright crap, I threw it to the wind for a bit and forgot about it.
Anyway, I am working on something big (video), and then I have...
