Something I read on Facebook E-Drums World about the GEWA Kit:
And no more DW branding either...
"What we have launched in Frankfurt was our concept study of the G9. As GEWA and DW are partners in a drum factory we where thinking of using the DWe shells. After we did some presentation...

Thanks for the education guys ..... Of course I know what they are doing as far as adding sounds and why they are triggering acoustic drums ..... I was just making a point .... somewhat ironic ya know ..... might have just sailed over peoples heads with that though....

Funny, many Edrummers have been wanting and raving about Drum Sound Modules that can produce a realistic nice sounding acoustic drum sound. Seems the acoustic drummers using the EAD are wanting to add those Electronic sounds on top of their real acoustic drums to get those sounds we Edrummers are pretty...

Snare DNT 6.5" I would guess is Dunnett .... not sure which model, whether they are both Stainless, tight and low .... or one is Titanium? but Dunnett is the brand I would guess....

  • I don't think it is just a coincidence that Roland removed those restrictions for choosing whatever instrument you want with the new TD-17 module. Hopefully that indicates a recognition that drummers still like to have the options to make their own sound choices (and maybe drummers aren't as stupid...

So, how many toms do you have, did you already split the tom inputs? Because if your toms are already single zone and you haven't split a tom input using one of these: http://www.drumsplitters.com/shop.html that is what they are for. Tom on the head side, cymbal on the edge side and you should be...

The nature of the edge switches is they take a certain amount of force to trigger, not as sensitive as the bow piezo and that is just the way it works. You would be better off splitting a tom input with one of the Special Piezo/Piezo type splitters. In that scenario both cymbals are triggered from their...

For me the solution was pretty simple .... I generally just need the normal Crash Edge sound anyway ... for crashing and crescendos, etc .... I just change the Bow sound to be the same as Edge ... works great that way. Plus on modules that have the interval feature for the edge it works for the edge...

Reading the manual is definitely important. But in my experience taking what is in the manual and going directly to the module and using what you are reading is also important. What I mean is I can read all day long and learn quite a bit. But if I take something from the manual and go directly to the...

I don't believe Crosstalk is his problem. When my Ride dropouts occurred it was while playing the whole kit, and especially the Ride and Kick together (which seemed strange as the kick is not attached to the rack) But my ride drop outs were the whole ride AFAIK....

Probably not the same thing. But I have experienced Ride drop outs. That ended up being a Crosstalk thing. When I disabled Crosstalk no problem. I redid my Crosstalk calibration and things cleared up. If you have Crosstalk enabled it might be worth it to test with it OFF....
