  • Hello out there!!!

    Howdy everybody!
My name is Don and I currently reside in the beautiful sate of CO. I have been playing drums for 22 years and play at the semi-pro level. Please understand I am not trying to tip my hat here or use this platform as a sounding board so all will know how good, or how bad I am. I am merely providing some brief background on myself. Make no mistake, I do have a purpose for being here. I recently purchased a td-30 k (NOT the KV!) and I intend on writing a review on the product simply because I have found great difficulty in finding other user reviews on this same product while there are literally a million reviews you can easliy find on the KV! Nevertheless, I wanted to take this time to thank everyone for allowing me to be a part of this great community. I will be submitting a review on the td-30 k very soon which will detail my initial impressions, why I chose not to purchase the LV, and why I chose to steer away from other e-kit products that seem to be fierce Roland competitors.

Yes, Roland (I was unaware another brand is making the TD-30K?). Yes, competitors, specifically Yamaha DTX. I understand this is a V-drums forum. I have purchased a V-drums model that I am having trouble finding reviews for so I thought I would write my own and explain my story, my thoughts, my reasoning, my research, and why I chose the Roland TD-30K model. I am hoping my review may be a benefit to someone out there who is in the same place I was a few weeks prior having trouble making an informed decision without having the necessary info to make the best decision that is right for him/her. I am in the right place, yes?

Welcome and I am here to talk about how great I am so listen up!!! Just kidding. I love my TD30 but do not be fooled that this is a Roland site, lots of proud owners of other products here too.

I look forward to reading your review!

Welcome. You came to the right place. While I have the TDW-20 module and a bunch of cool triggers, the TD-30 module would be a future purchase. I'm going to guess you are referring to a written review of the TD-30K. There are some nice reviews and videos on the 30K on youtube.

What is the differences between the TD-30K and KV? I'm not a Roland-guy so I haven't read up on what's what, haha :P
And welcome to the forums! Hopefully you'll like it here as much as most of us do

Just watched a bit of the first video, got the answer to my question, haha!
