Hi everybody and may I say what great forum this is I did my first gig in 1963 and have played nearly every acoustic kit there is, I switched to v drums about 2 years ago, starting with the TD3 then the 6 then the 8 then the 10ex then the 11 now the TD30 which is an amazing advancement So when I say they are as good and in some areas better than acoustics I hope you all agree

      Welcome to the forum, Harry!

That's quite a journey you did there from module to module! Talk about drumming-G.A.S. at its peak... you will feel very at home here between all the G.A.S. addicts, trust me!

      Happy Drumming!

Welcome to the forum. I just got my TD-30, actually my second one in 2 weeks. The first one was defective and Sweetwater sent me a new one that I received today. Anyway, it makes me feel good that such an experienced drummer likes the vdrums. I feel better about my decision.

Welcome. That's a fine evolution of Rolands. For me electronic drums is the more practical way to go. Acoustics tend to have a better place in a live situation, although these days, either electronic or acoustic will work.
