getting back to playing

Hey,
have not been on here for about 6 yrs...im from Minnesota, here is a pic of the last td20 I had....im looking for another as well as info/opinions about the td30. If u know of a kit for sale, or have td30 info, let me know...I miss playing and really liked my roland.

Howdy and welcome back! Are you playing for fun or for money? If it's for fun, I'd save the money and get a used TD20. Do you build your own pads or use only brand names? If you don't DIY, I think the new pads on the 30 are worth it if you have the cash. I don't see many 30's for sale used yet, so unless you are willing to pay full price, it might be tough to find a 30.

Probably play more for fun now....kinda done with the late night bar scene....still fill in now and then tho..I think a 20 would work fine....didnt mind those pads....but never played on 30 pads

TD20 and TD30 pads are the same...just additional triggers inside the TD30 pads to accomodate newer features in the TD30 module. You should be able to score a great used TDW20 on the cheaper side. If you've got the $$ then just get the TD30...you'l love it.
