    Sook,

This may be a long shot. But as you're desperate...

Try Roland Japan. Email them or write a letter to them. See if they can send you a spare part for free. Tell them you're not satisfy with customer services with Roland Australia. Japanese takes customer services very very seriously.

I used to be a semi-pro photographer. One of my fellow photographers was a dedicated Pentax user and he was living in Canada. He had horrible experience with Pentax Canada's and Pentax USA's customer services. Eventually he bypassed the local subsidiaries and contacted Pentax Japan direct. That worked all the time. For instance, the internal barrel of one of his lens started showing cracks. He sent the lens directly to Pentax Japan. Pentax Japan returned him a brand new one.

p.s. If everything fails, you TD-12 can take refuge at my place.

    New TD12 faceplate

I'm a bit unhappy with my face plate, the unit is 3 years old and scratched a bit, I have emailed Roland in Aussie with no reply, do they actually have replacement plates or could someone find me a price and zoom it over from Aus ?
Our local shop seems to have given up, I wouldn't have thought this was actually a difficult endeavor but has turned out harder than striking a drum in time.

    pic below of scratched unit

    thanks
