    Hello Everybody

    Hi to everyone on the forum. I've been visiting here for a while now while decision making was going on and found many answers - so thanks for that.

    I used to play drums in my late teens/early twenties then life got in the way.

    Tried guitar for a few years without any great satisfaction, then bought an acoustic kit to teach my youngest son a while ago. A bit noisy for the rest of the street though.

    So here I am many years later at 59 about to collect a TD 12 in two hours time. I can't wait !!

    So I thought it about time to join you lot

          Thanks folks, have been saving for a while to get this. It was either a TD9 or 12 and I figured if I got the 9 then knowing all about gas as a guitarist it wouldn't be long before upgraditis set in

          You seem to have a very good natured forum here - some of the guitar forums I've seen have been flame after flame and sometimes guitarists seem a secretive lot, not so here though.

          Looking fwd to talking to you all.......got to go shopping now...

              I am just very glad to hear that you are returning to the drums. That is wonderful ... Being a TD-12 owner myself (got my kit 6 months ago), I can tell you that the TD-12 is a baby and I still spend all the time I can find playing on that kit.

              So welcome and show us some pictures of the kit!
              Ask not whether something is useful -- ask what it is useful for.

              Roland TD-12, Iron Cobra hihat stand and bass-drum pedal from TAMA. My accoustic kit is a Yamaha Power-V Birch with Paiste Alpha-series splashes, crashes, and hihat. My ride is a Zildjan Ping Ride, 20" I think.
