Greetings to All,
I'm very happy to find a site so closely tied to my interests. My story. I played drums in a garage band in the late '60s. Loved it but life moved on. I joined the Air Force for 4 years and then went to college when I got out of the service. In fact, had to sell my Ludwig Club Date kit to pay for my last semester. Two years ago, my wife bought me a Yamaha DD-55 for my birthday. She knew I had played years ago and thought I would get a kick out of it. She was right. After 30 plus years, I fell in love with it all over again. Last year I picked up a Yoki 908 off e-bay. Not bad for what it is but didn't do it for me. Last month, I bought a Roland TD-12SV. What can I say, this is the best! My custom set is better than my old Ludwig kit and Paiste cymbols. And when I want a change, I just play on one of the other pre-loaded sets. Anyway, I'm having a blast and always looking for tricks and techniques to improve my skills. I'm sure I'll be checking the forum regularly. Best Regards to ALL!
