  • Hello!

Just thought I'd say hi and introduce myself before I dive in and start asking questions. I'm a pro musician / drummer currently working in my own studio here in London. I'm Mac based and use a Hart Pro kit through a Roland TD20 into Logic and Superior 2.0.

You can check out MY WEBSITE if you'd like to see what I get up to and to read about my sordid and frightful past.

Looks like some great info to be found here so I'll have a snoop about and see what's what!

        Welcome Chris!

Just watched the Tomorrow's World clip on your website. Watching Tomorrow's World on a Thursday evening as a kid was one of the highlights of my week! It's an honour to meet the man behind the theme.

Just seen that you played with Robert Plant on two tours too! *totally awestruck, not sure what to say*

        Joel.

No, although I was once in a band that seemed to play a lot in Chelmsford for some reason and I always ended up driving the bloody van.

                  Thanks for the welcome chaps!

Thought the name sounded familiar when I looked at your website. I really liked your inspiring drumming on "Manic Nirvana", I found whole the album fresh and creative when it came out.
                    I borrowed a fill from, I think, "S S S & Q" for a funk tune with my former band.
                    Welcome!

                        You dont drink then !!!!!!!!!!

We use to take it in turns but the only problem was, the guy driving always needed to get home quick after the gig.

Chris welcome to the forum. I couldn't help but be alarmed by the fact that you have done work for Nike, Reebok, and even the cursed Adidas (just ask for clarification) but there's no Puma love. What gives? Do you not understand the power of the Puma?

Seriously, you're site looks great and I'm glad you're here.
                          Cheers,

                            Amazing work

Your work is amazing. You have managed to be creative and do big time projects. That is a great accomplishment.

Do you have any tips on using BFD2 w/the td20? Any favorite kits and settings? I have Superior 2 which I don't like, and was thinking of getting BFD 2.

                              Hi Peter!

What is it that you don't like about Superior 2.0? Funnily enough I have found BFD2 works great with a pad controller (the Korg PadKontrol specifically) and that Superior 2.0 works best with the TD20. I get far oo much latency on BFD2 from the kit for some reason and I lose a lot of the expression. Superior 2.0 and the TD20 seem made for each other though.

I would suggest holding on to Superior 2.0 and getting used to it a bit more. It's probably the most responsive and best sounding drum software on the planet at the moment.
