  • lower space between kick pedals

    hi people,

i've got the TD-20 and recently bought a KD-8 kick for getting 2 different base-sounds while playing.
but, the problem ist the space between the 2 kicks (KD-120 and KD-8).

anybody got a fresh idea to lower the space between them?

of course i could by a 2nd KD-8 (no more space problem) and would have to
    put the KD-120 on sale - i don't want that :-((

    any ideas?
    please help

    thx

    Welcome to the forum quest!

Maybe you could try a double pedal to play the KD 8 while keeping your existing pedal to play the KD 120. You can then place the second foot plate of the double pedal (that would normally be next to the hi hat footplate) next to your existing base drum pedal. That will allow you to place the KD 8 remotely.

Not sure if that makes any sense! Have a look at Stanton Moore's setup, you can just about make it out on this clip
