    Hey all

long time drummer short time v/e drummer new to the boards.

I have been playing for over 20 years (though my playing should probably be better at this point ) and have been through many small time gigs ands bands playing mostly rock, funk and jam stuff. I play alot of different instruments and mostly play around or record on my own just for fun.

I used to have a TD6 Vclub which I enjoyed well enough but I really had my eyes on the TD10 (was hot at the time). I switched back to acoustic drums when it looked like I might start gigging out again but that dried up as fast as it was born. The volume kept me from playing much at home so I really only played maybe once or twice a week and for short intervals.

Fast forward a bit... I found a nice TD10 with the expansion for 1700 and couldn't pass it up... In the three days I've had it I've logged about 4 hours of solid playing (read.. working up a sweat) and have loved every minute of it.

I am really looking forward to chatting with you all and getting to learn my way around the vdrum community

I'll post my myspace stuff in my sig in a few.. there is a decent song that was recorded by me on a computer mic where I tracked everything through Audacity.. I'm pretty happy with it and I aim to continue down the recording trail

I'm still learning alot about my TD10 and have barely scratched the surface as to what it can do..

srry for the wall of text I'll try to keep that to a minimum.

    Rock out!
    Tom

Hi Tom, welcome to the board. I gotta ask....your nick...is that any reference somehow to the 80's movie "The Wolfen"? I read that book way back when and loved it. The movie was OK.

Welcome Tom! I just bought a TD10-E kit myself about three weeks ago. I really liked the TD10-E but I really love my new TD20. Only three weeks and I got bit by the upgrade bug. Make sure you get the VEX kit for your module. You wont believe how it changes the sounds.

Come on in, sit down, and make yourself at home, Tom.

            I've got a TD10 also, with a TD7 mixed in, and it's a blast.

Looking forward to the song posting.

            Shalom

Hey all thanks for the warm welcome!!!

I have a couple pics for you (Hope I uploaded them right)

My sig doesn't seem to want to show up for some reason, I'll try to get that fixed. The song that I have on my myspace was done with my A drums before I had the E drums (see I'm picking up on the lingo already ... Please remember the recording was done on single takes, off the cuff, one mic...etc etc.. even the singing was just me reading an old poem I had written.. The end of the song says "details of peace" which ended up being the name of the song.. there was much more poem to go, so I'll have to get that finished soon.

My basement (along with the rest of the house) is kind of in shambles right now as we were about to move but aborted the plans and now we need to clean up.. lol.. OK enough rambling.

Oh yeah.. My name was made for an old video game we used to play at work.. Delta Force 2.. it's part of my last name and... helicopter haha.

and yes I will be looking into the VEX downloads right quick!
