Hi Shorty and welcome to the world of V Drums. If you hang around here long enough, you'll most likely catch a rather persistent infection we all call GAS.
As a general rule, it doesn't normally spread to other family members unless they are musically inclined. If they happen to be drummers too, look out!!!

    Thanks all for the welcome

John.b - I am getting a really good deal from the specialist drum place which includes a proper branded (Gibralter) pedal, a proper throne and the 2nd crash + boom/hardware. It's why I am (impatiently) waiting for it's arrival into stock.

    I just want it now!

Hi Shorty. Welcome to the fastest growing club on the planet.

Hope youve allowed enough money for a decent throne and pedals. Oh and youll need a second crash cymbal aswell.

    Happy sticking mate.

I am so looking forward to them now! I know a local chain store has them in stock but they are nearly £400 dearer than the specialist drum shop. Also the drum shop have a much friendlier staff and specialise in drums. I can wait because I want the better quality of service and £400 would get me another cymbal or KD120 (yeah, expansion plans already!)

Howdy - I am sure you will enjoy that TD-9! I started playing V-Drums after being a guitarist for years also.

started a topic 33 years to get a kit....

33 years to get a kit....

Hello fellow drummers (yeah, feels good to say that)

Just awaiting the call to collect my T9-KX. I haven't played drums since school and definitely been a frustrated drummer, now at 33 years old I can finally afford to get a set! Especially after 18 years of being a guitarist desperate to find a drummer who understands the drum patterns I write... I am finally gonna be able to just do it myself

I choose v-drums for transport, not annoying my neighbours and because if I bought anything else... my Roland obsessed father would probably disown me

This place is a hell of a good resource for v-drums and I look forward to many many hours probably not posting here because I am too busy strapped to the kit finally trying to be a drummer before coming here to ask for help!
Working...
