  • Newbie to the Td3 but playin drums for years

    Hello all,

My name is Anthony and I'm out of Huntington Beach, CA. I've been playing drums for about 15 years and just purchased a TD3 set due to moving into a condo. I was about to purchase the Yamaha DTXpress IV from guitar center for a good deal but was not impressed with it's features. The TD3 being a little bit more (the dtxpress iV was used) but a lot better.

Anyways, I just purchased a Presonus Audiobox USB to get some recordings on my laptop and having a ton of problems. It came with cubase 4 LE and I put my questions in the recording section ( to follow forum rules). But if any one with this experience wants to see if they can help it would be absolutely appreciated!!!

Excited to learn about the fun I can do with my new toy!

Hello and welcome !!! I bought a TD-3 a while back and for me the
easiest way I am recording is this. I take one cable into the mic jack
on my Mac G5 and just plug it into the headphone jack on the TD-3.
I have a splitter on the headphone cord so I can hear the recording.
Garage Band from Apple is what I am using to tweak the sound.Very
low tech but it works for me. I know way more about acoustic drums
than e drums. I am sure some wise people on this site can help you
with your software issues. Again welcome and take care, E
