This Brad from SWohio. I'm a guitarist, but I just traded a guitar pedal for an old Roland TD-5 for our church. Thought I'd register & gain some knowledge here to know what direction to go with this. Cheers!
Welcome!!! How about some pics? Have fun here, lots of fun and friendly folks abound!

Welcome to the crazy world of drumming. Well that's always been crazy. Crazy world of edrumming :-)
Roland TD50x with part td20 rack and pads. SD3 with various kits. Pearl Masters Kit, Yamaha 9000RC original natural wood finish. Cymbals from Zildgian Pasite and Sabian. Loads of percussion bits. Cubase and Wavelab always current versions. RME Babyface pro fs audio interface
You need some serious 303 Aerospace Protectant on those pads!!! Nice set up tho!

John, he can't screw with my mind....you forget I'm a guitar player! :P
Kenster - I'll look that up! Basically...after reading ads and looking through posts, I guess I did ok for what amounts to a swap for a $150 guitar pedal.
Thanks for the warm welcome! Y'all might convince me to take up drums after all. Then I, too, can "stick it to" the guitar players. lol
BTW, if you look real close in that last photo...you'll see an alligator clip (the monster size) peeking from below the TD5 box. I had the typical mount, but no mounting clip. So, I grabbed 2 giant clips I had and screwed them in place...they hold like a champ!
