I got a TD 30 Module Great Sound, but how to easy Record / Play-back and Monitor the Timings, like in my old td9? ... I sold :-( yesterday

Oddly, the TD-30 has no rhythm training / rhythm checking functions. Yes, you read that correctly. There is a sequencer and I use this all the time. Your only measure for checking accuracy within the TD-30 module is to set the metronome on appropriate subdivisions, record your performance with the sequencer, and check your performance against the base metronome pulse and subdivisions. This is all one really needs, but given that various rhythm training and checking functions are present in other, lesser Roland modules, it's odd that these functions are missing in the flagship modules. It's not just the TD-30; all of Roland's previous flagship modules are missing these functions, too.

Helle TangTheHump, Thanks for the fast Feedback and the Bad news ... maybe in the Future a software Update will Provide this :-) ... I used also Friend Jam with the Mac. That was cool, but I Miss the detailed analytics. I will checkout you Point and using Midi in in Logic Pro to do a "live Monitoring" .
The sound and Other Features are Great of TD 30, but I will miss the easy usage of my old TD9 Module :-(

Hey guys, i got a bit of a problem here with my td4 module.
I plug out the power cable directly from the module while was ON, so the problem here is that the module won't start on again.
I've been looking for solutions in the web, but nothing yet.
Anybody here kwnos if the module proctected himsefl or something?
Is there a trick to restore the module from that,
Like a prees this button and that button for 10 seconds or something?
I tried to check the power cable an it's working, i tried another power cable and still won't power on.

            Tnx for the help!!

              Hi Tms,

You can use Roland drum tutor DT-1 connected to a computer and it will track your timing via MIDI. I find it very useful even though it needs a laptop or computer and USB cable for MIDI.
Roland Percussion Product Specialist Darren Schoepp walks you through how to use the HD-1 Drum Tutor.

Great for importing your own MIDI drum patterns or songs to play along to and speed up/slow down and loop sections.

I appreciate that English isn't your first language, which may be why you didn't realize you need to start your own thread when asking a question like this. It's rude to the author of this thread for you to start asking your own questions. However, I don't think it was your intent to be rude. Quick answer. It sounds like you may have caused some power spikes (or power shorting) when pulling out the cable. Thus, it's possible you fried your module. Or, the power supply may not be putting out proper power. See if you can find another TD-4 power supply and test your module with that. If your module still doesn't work, you'll probably need to contact Roland about repairs.
