It's likely due the pad type you have selected as your snare. Hit the snare with your stick then Hit Shift-Enter on the module then right arrow to go in to Trig Basic setup. Then select your trig type with + and - until you find the type of trigger pad that you have. Rim shots should be good to go at that point
