  • Survived my first GAS attack

I was able to score two PD 100s of ebay for a very good price. Got them last Thursday, cleaned the heads in the dishwasher (still not as clean as I would like them), set the pad type and bumped the velocity up one notch and I am living large! Huge difference and feel and much more playable compared to the PD8s.
I am actively looking for one more PD 100 or even a PD 80 if anyone has one they are not using but due to circumstances, I am extremely price sensitive

Wouldn't you prefer one PD-100 as a snare instead of a tom?

Current snare is dual zone (rim). PD 100 is single zone.

Right, I was thinking about my PD-105 which is dual zone. Still, I would prefer a bigger snare, but I don't use the rim very often.

          It's easy to mod a PD100 into a PD105, if you do a search...

Thanks folks. I also picked up a pair of Vic Firth 7A nylon tips. To me they feel much better than the 5As I was using. Seems to put less stress on my old cranky wrists.

Nice score with the new additions
....and a big paws up to the Vic Firths. 7AN's are my fave sticks too.
