wow, and cool, but you have to talk me through it - the mesh pad where a hihat normally is: first tom or auxilary snare - or do you just want a mesh hihaat? thta pd-8 in the middle (?) = cowbell?
looks exotic to me,...good on yer mate!

Nah, isn't that a VH-11 right over his snare?
Hawk snare, toms, and bass; Hart ECII crashes & ride; VH-10 Hihat; Iron Cobra double-bass.

To answer you question, I play the hi-hat almost centered as i'm not a fan of cross handed. I use the DW9550 Universal Remote Hi-Hat which is extremely well made and play just like the feel of a standar hi-hat. (see pic.)
And yes the mesh pad on my left is usually used as a secondary snare, tom or gong.. etc..
And the pd-8 actually is for me a 8" tom, that follow by a 10", 13" and 16". Which is a replica of my acoustic drum kit I usually put the cowbell on the rims for the edrum and actually in front of the 8" tom (between snare and 10" tom) on accoutic drum.
Hi Picxello, Gee what a great set up. Glad to see another remote HH user. I started doing it because of an injury, but now it just seems more logical. How many guys would put their main ride cymbal over their left hand? I was watching a Kenny Aronoff video and he had 2 HH's and seemed to prefer the one on the right. If you look at my picture, that's my HH in the center. Drum on!
Yeah, I also use a remote hi hat on my acoustic kit (and works great), not on my e-kit though, but I still have my hi hat close to the snare since I'm not using double pedal on my e kit.
