  • Just for fun

Here you see what hapens when five guys have some spare time between gigs... It took a lot of funny interconnections and hoop-jumping to even get things recorded, not to mention squeezing the band in a 'normal' cabin. Almost sitting in eachother laps, we ran the bass through one input of the spd-sx, panning opposite to the drum sounds, those two went to the stereo mix-in of a td30 brain (some a/d converter, huh?) and out the s/pdif into the digital input of the soundcard, while guitar and the mic filled the only two audio inputs of the card. Keys and spd-sx were recorded via MIDI, and we had the pc and spd-sx's phones out in two inputs of an battery powered monitor. Guerilla multitrack and guerilla video... Lots of fun though

Brilliant and shows what can be done. Great sound as well. Love the keyboard player stretching up for the solo. Good accuracy hitting this little pads.

Awesome, always wanted to see an SPD used as a straight up drum kit. Sounds great!

What HH pedal did you use?

Thanx for the comments guys! It was a really fun 'project'

Moo Spd-sx has no HH pedal input, I use the 'mute group' function to have one pad for the closed and one for the open HH.
