  • I can't stop tweaking!

I have lost count how many variations of E kits I've gone through in 3-4- years.

I have now done away with all racking. It was taking 45 minutes to set up at a gig.

I use one cymbal stand for a crash and a HH pad.

I use another cymbal stand on the right for a crash and 3 pads (HH, Ride, Accessories)

I use another stand for my module and an SPD-SX.

I will be able to get all the stands in one bag and forget the cumbersome racking.

Heh, I sit there and fold my clothes right out of the dryer It's the perfect height!

And then I leave the basket there for days.

As you can see, I'm not very domesticated.

I put the trash can back in it's place a few days ago and I just put supplies in the cabinets today, as I was expecting company.

The basket is still sitting there and the clothes are still in the dryer.

The band was over for several hours today and everything sounded great so, that's really all that matters.

And you couldn't get them to help fold the clothes? Some friends!
            Nice kit by the way.

Thanks. My A kit was just too freaking obnoxious to play in my environment so I picked up a used rubber pad kit and I was hooked.

At one point I had like 1000 pads

I then discovered the beauty of mesh heads, but now l had WAY to many heads I only have two hands!

Then I scaled down the pads and slipped in a fake kick drum to look more presentable.

Then, I did what I should have done years ago. I took apart a Roland mesh head and saw how simple the triggering device was.

Seriously? That's it? That is why a drum pad costs hundreds of dollars? Now I buy complete (crappy) kits for $40-$100 and convert them.

In my latest version, the cables will all retract into the empty bass drum for storage/transport.

I had a good lol on that, but actually in an appreciative way. I admire the focus and productivity you brought to the project even if you decided the result wasn't quite what you were looking for.

It's my nature to keep trying to get it right. When I don't know what "right" is, it just takes a while to figure it out

                  I think I'm almost there!
