  • new video posted of my band

I knew if I waited long enough, our band leader would post a live video of us. This one was made at the Three Rivers Casino. We seem to always have some sort of prodution problems when it comes to video. This one had a lot of idiots (I mean fans) hamming it up for the camera, so we ended up with some out of focus shots while trying to zoom past the ah, nice folks who had too much fun that night. Anyway it is a sample of what we do. Can't see much of my drums but you can hear them. http:redhotsmokinaces.com/Site/Video.html

Brilliant!!! Very good presentation and good to see a good mix n match of tunes!

Is that 2 keyboardists you have there? If so I take it one of them does bass duties! Or am I blind and there was a bassist there!

Yeah, a good video. The bands vocals must be a strength, and your solid drumming. You also got a very nice website, efficient and with great design!

Thanks, and yes he is playing keybass and occassional other parts. The bass player also plays electric bass guitar but prefers keybass.

Oooo ooooo, can you answer this? What kind of "keybass" is your bass player using? Is it just a keyboard with a "bass voice"? If so, what? The only time I've found synth-based bass voices has been in VST.

I'd probably do more on the "bass" if I had something ala Manzerek's Fender Rhodes keyboard bass but to date, haven't found anything electronic modeled after it.

Hi Grog, He uses 3 or 4 different keyboards, I know he has a Roland and an M-audio, but they are just used as a controler. The sounds come from a laptop with a good bass software program. He can call up Fender P-Bass through an Ampeg or a Jazz through a Marshall or what ever. I'll find out the name of the program tonight.

Grog, quick update. Our bass player uses "Bandstand" software put out by NATIVE INSTRUMENTS.
