  • Amp choice

Looking for input on a couple of amp choices. I will be using it for personal monitoring while practicing and possibly small rehearsals. I am looking at either a Hartke KM200 for $150 or a Behringer Ultratone K3000FX for $200.

I would go with the Behringer Ultratone K3000FX over the Hartke. You should consider buying a single self powered FRFR (full range, flat response) PA unit such as:

    Alto TS 215
    Electro-voice ZLX-15p
    Behringer eurolive 215D

    They are more expensive though.

I've concluded that an ideal setup would be an EVZXA1 (12" sub) with an ELX200-10P mounted on it for a compact somewhat light weight amp for rehearsal and small venues

      Here's the oft posted rules:
      • Home: headphones (or a PA if you *really* need speakers)
      • Rehearsal: a PA
      • Live: a PA
Minimum of 12" woofers, speakers on stands, tweeters at ear height.

(as for make and model - that depends on your budget)

So I have a Yamaha EMX 640 powered mixer but no speakers...... Maybe it's better to just buy some speakers for it?
