  • MDS-9V rack bag?

Hi all, apologies if this has been answered before but I've looked around this forum and haven't found a plausible option yet!

I'm looking to transport my roland TD15kx and rack for gigs around in the back of my car but don't want to dis-assemble the rack each time.

I've got a decent bag for all the pads, cymbals, module, drum stool etc (even the hihat stand fits in!), but haven't found anything suitable to protect the rack from the elements (as I have all cables attached to it). I Just want to fold rack in and put it in something padded, that will protect it.

I was looking at a large bike bag, anyone use one of those?

What do you guys use to carry your rack around in?...also bag / box for kick pedal, any ideas???

Just thought I'd share my solution in transporting my entire TD15 Kv kit (minus kick pedal and pad) around including a bag big enough for the rack..kick pad and pedal carry separate in a box

Haven't used it yet. Bought this was the only thing I could find big enough. Not alot of protection, but at least the rack fits.

oh and yes i realize it is a Big Red Bag.
So if any finds anything a bit less, hmm, idk, i guess red. Lets hear it!

            Haha

I bought Pelican Cases for the rest of the set
The 1600 and 1900 (i think that is the bigger one).

They are expensive as hell (big one was like $340), but I can ship these suckers to a war zone if i needed to, and feel confident that they will not be damaged.

So 2 CASES (Both have a retractable arms and wheels), and a 1 CANVAS BAG, to fit everything! Entire set, high hat stand, throne, double pedal, all the drums and cymbal pads, Module (which is in its own mini protective case inside the pelican case), cords, and misc. Everything I need to set up and play - ONE TRIP into the VENUE!!!!.

Gone are the 3am nights where i am soaked in sweat, its 5 degrees outside, i am kinda bombed cuz we drank most of the night, and i have to pack my 8 piece Mapex set and stands, yada yada yada, up.

And then someone in my band would ask if I was going to help with the PA!!
            Are you F'en kidding me!!!!

            HAHAH

            I play a TD25-KV, added a BT-1 in the extra AUX.

I just tried to order this bag the other day and this morning got an email that they canceled my order bc it was going to be over 400 euro to ship it to me in the US.

Any ideas where else I can find that bag??

                Thanks
