  • TD-12 kick pad out to sound board

I was wondering if there is a way with the TD-12 to connect the Kick drum to a separate input on the main PA sound board. There is only 2 main outs on the TD-12, mono or stereo. I normally run my entire kit out(single cable) thru the mono output and toggle levels on the brain. I'm thinking a split jack out from kick pad /one to sound board / one back to brain.

Output from the kick(any) pad is not audio. Running that into an amp will make no noise (maybe a slight "click"). One way to separate would be to pan the kick hard left and everything else hard right on the module (making sure you have module reverb at a minimum), and use the left / right channels into two desk inputs.

      Thanks electrodrummer,
So my only change is to run stereo channels L/R and pan the Kick Left, and other modules Right. That is a solution, so I guess my stage amp would now have to be used as a monitor send from the desk, since I cant run it out (mono) from my TD-12.

Actually, doesn't the TD12 have a couple of direct outs? You can send specific drums to those....

Thanks, yes I found the link on the Roland site after I posted and further studied the manual.I have never used the direct outs and now I have good reason, great feature I never realized I had.
