    I am trying to play a drumless track while recording a track.

    All I can find in the help section of Goldwave is:
    Use the Track | Create recording section command.

    I must be getting old. Can't figure it out.

    So, how do I play the MP3 and record my drum track at the same time.
    "Always on Time", never a "Beat Off"!

    What I did was to put the drumless track onto a CD, play that CD through the module's aux-in and record the combination of that and my drumming.

    I haven't found a way of having Goldwave play and record at the same time. I may be wrong, but I've a feeling that is asking too much of my sound card.

      Same as Ranman except I play the MP3 using media or real one on the same pc as recording on Goldwave looped through the aux-in on the TD8

        Jackeen: So you have...

        * a stereo cable from the sound card's line-out
        to the TD8's aux-in
        * a stereo cable from the TD8's outs to the sound card's line-in
        * a media player playing the drumless track
        * Goldwave recording the performance

        Not bad! I suspect my Dell would "Dude!" itself right into the bin if I tried that.

        I don't even want to think about what this piece of **** IBM thinkpad would do.

          smack on with one addition

          I split the output from the TD one going to my Old surround system for playback. Works a treat with a 12" sub woofer 2 sony sats on the rig and a centre speaker behind the kick. The cycmbol sound fantastic while the woofer gives the thud. If you look at my pics you'll see the sonys.

          I also tried it on a cheap 600 p3 128 ram worked fine except that the internal components hisssssiinnnngggg - hissed me off

          I use a Sony laptop 1 gig p3, 256 ram and an external usb/phono adpter for the in/outs. No aux in on the laptop. No hissing
