  • Question About Recording My SD7k

So recently I've been trying to do some recording with my Simmons SD7k e-kit. I've been using the USB functionality with it, so that I don't have to use MIDI cables. Anyway, I use Magix MIDI Studio 2005 as my MIDI recording software, but I've run into a problem. When I plug the kit in, sometimes when I hit the pads it'll play a random sound that I don't have in the current set up. For example sometimes when I hit the snare it'll play a floor tom noise, or when I hit the crash it'll make a woodblock noise or something to that extent. Does anyone know how to make it so the sound is correct? When playing back the track in the software, the audio sounds fine, but when I export it as a MIDI file, the sounds are messed up, but even worse. Almost all the notes become stick clicks or other random percussion noises. Any help solving this problem is greatly appreciated.
