  • Studio time........

I've been in the studio with my band and we recorded this original song called "Soldier Son".

    http://metrocast.net/~rhythm/Soldier...2012-01-08.mp3

It was recorded with an acoustic set of DW drums with Zildjian cymbals and a Ludwig COB Supraphonic snare drum circa 1960.

Let me know what you guys think of the song.
It's about our singers son who is stationed in Afghanistan with the US Army.

Ditto. Excellent production. Your singer has a nice voice, and the mix is well-balanced with solid performances by all.

Wow! I'm typing this while still listening to the song. From the first word of the singer, I immediately liked his voice. The song is still playing right now while I'm typing, and I've got to say, I like it.

Woo is this supposed to be an amateur production?, it sounds like something you would expect from a professional studio that's been running for years, also sounds like it should be on the wireless, very good..wheew, I'd buy it as well, can I encourage you to write a paper on how you did this.

edit: oops I see it was done in a pro studio, no wonder it sounds so good..
            Nothing of importance here

              You guys are too kind.

I'm glad you liked the tune. It has a special meaning for us as it is dedicated to all of the servicemen/women serving our country in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I'll tell Kevin, our lead singer, that you like his singing.

I appreciate all of your input.

I'm sure you have already sent an MP3. Expect a lot of recognition as this song goes viral among the troops!

Yes, I'm trying to get it around to our troops overseas, via the US military.
It's like pulling teeth, though, to get them to respond to the song.
