  • Collabs after TDW-20

I have participated in a few Music collaborations since changing to the TDW-20. I am using factory preset kits with a little personal tweaking as needed. I did the drums using the TDW-20 and did a percussion track with my HPD-15. This song is nearly complete. A couple dif members of the collab have just started putting mixes together. Thought I would put up a link with a couple dif. preliminary mixes... one mix with little effects the other pretty wet. A mellow, pretty song ... in my opinion anyway... Another MCS collab: PVD Lyrics, AJ arrangement vocals and guitars, Stoman Keys/strings etc., and Hazz on Bass.

Nice Jerry. I like the cymbals. Is that all TDW or post-fx?

On that 1st wet version I uploaded my 10 seps, I am sure Stoman wanted to do some magic on the individual tracks so that is the processed result. The drier version is using the stereo mix I put up, so I don't think AJ did any processing on that. It gives a good idea though of what can be done with the drum sounds post processing.

Very nicely done. And tasteful drumming.
The difference between the two mixes is also fascinating. I love to hear the process a song goes through till the final mix. Illuminating.

Thanks Michael. It's always interesting to see what the person mixing does with the drum seps. The finished mix can be so different than the sound of the parts going in...
I definitely think the TDW drum sounds have nice potential... it will be fun to hear the kits Alan and Chris can create using the new sounds...

            Hey Jmanword,

The cymbals in the wet version are excellent - it's really nice to hear a mix with so much attention to the top end presence of cymbals.

Thanks Herc... Yeah, Stoman who mixed that really brought out the best in the cymbals for sure...

Sounding great J. .. it is amazing how we brought the cymbals up front in the wet mix.
