  • Professional session drummer using V-drums

I am looking for a professional session drummer that is using a Roland TD-20 or T-12 set and addictive drums sound library.

I am recording material with Logic 8 express and have been programming basic beats to record to. I am now trying out studiopros.com for live drum overdubs and I will see how that turns out. However I would really like the production flexibility of high quality midi tracks programmed with v-drums and addictive drums software. If there is anyone one out there that can direct me to a versatile V-drummer with great chops who does session work I would appreciate it.

    Where are you based?

I don't have addictive drums but I do have DFHS 1 and 2. I also have an expanded TD-20 kit. I'd be willing to lay down some tracks but the drums would be pre mixed obviously unless you have DFHS. You can check out some of the tunes I've done drums on at http://www.soundclick.com/shatterfist . The most recent is Time Machine.

I don't want to distract from the business at hand... but I am digging those tracks. Not so hip on the vocals but the music is groovin. Nice job.

        Anyway, back to the topic...

            Hi there,

Are you comfortable with odd meters? I've PMed you a link to some samples with mostly guitar work, see if you can & want to work on that type of stuff & send me your rates please. I'm going to need it in midi format, so no premixes or anything.

I know a great professional player who has recorded with a TD-20 via files. He has laid down drums tracks for musicians hundreds of miles away in that manner. What style are you going for?

Ohhhh progressive metal eh? That's what my band I'm in now plays. I don't have addictive drums either, but I have Superior 2 and a Roland TD-20. I recorded the drum tracks, well the entire songs here for my band which is that same style of music (the newer stuff is much more technical and better).

I also just recently recorded 2 drum tracks for my neighbor but that's more along the lines of classic rock/jimi hendrix kinda style of stuff.

I'm assuming you play to a metronome/click track? As that's how I prefer to do all my recordings. Also would you like everything quantisized and such as well? Shoot me a PM. I'm finishing up a 4 song demo I recorded for this band tomorrow, well mixing/editing/quick mastering it and after that I've got an open schedule.

                          .Adam.

                              Hi there,

I work with S2. At the moment there is a forum member I'm trying to work with. I'll keep you in mind if we don't click for some reason.

                              Thanks.
