I am using audacity and am trying to record some of my tracks. I keep getting distortion, so normally I turn down the input intake and it helps if i turn the module almost all the way down. Then after I do those I can't hear myself playing because it's so soft. Wondering if anyone has ANY suggestions on settings or programing.

don't know what kind of interface your using. that's almost always the cause of distortion.
just some thoughts, if your recording through your computer sound card, make sure your using the line input and not the mic input. and in control panel/sound/audio/volume, make sure that the line volume is no more than half way up. that might do it, if your recording through your sound card. -
Yes I am trying to record through my sound card. You make a good point about the mic in. That is in fact what I am trying to record through. I should have thought about that in the first place. I'll give it a try...ThanksComment
