Digital performer and waves plugins

I am very new to dp3 and computer recording in general. I just got DP# on my G4 mac. I think that some of the plug-ins that come with DP3 are a joke. So, I got waves plugins, and even though I installed the plugins and the MAS waveshell in the HD/system/motu/plugins folder, I still cant find the plugins in DP3. They are not in the list when I click on the insert buttons on the mixer. They are also not listed in the Audio/plugis drop-down menu. Am I missing something stupid? Am I putting the files in the correct folder for Dp3 to recognize them? Do I have to access these plugins differently than the others because they use a waveshell?
As you can see I am very new at this so any help would be appreciated.

Hi Drumlogic ,

I'm guessing your on the right lines when you talk about the plug-ins having to be in the right folder.
Can you see any plug-ins at all in DP3 ?
If so copy one of the waves ones to it and see if that helps.
If you've tried that already sorry for being of no help !

rab, thanx for the effort. Unfortunately I already tried that. Even though the wave plugins and waveshells are in the the same folder as the standard dp3 effects they still dont come up.
